Returns in brief

  • Window: 60 days from delivery to start a return.
  • Return postage: on us, even if you simply changed your mind. We email you a free return label.
  • Exchanges: swap for a different size or style; we ship the new piece out free.
  • Restocking fee: none.
  • Money back: refunded within 7 days of the return reaching us. Timing details are on the Refund Policy page.
  • How to start: email support@jersa.shop with your order number.

Ordering a jersey online always carries a little guesswork. A basketball tank cut can feel looser than you pictured; a hockey sweater is roomy by design; the decade colourway that looked mellow on screen might be bolder in daylight. This page walks through how sending something back works at Jersa, step by step. For questions about the money side, such as when the refund lands and on what payment method, see our Refund Policy.

1. You have 60 days

You can start a return or exchange up to 60 days after your parcel is delivered. The clock begins on the delivery date shown by tracking. If tracking is unclear, we use the date you tell us it arrived, within reason.

Sixty days is long enough to try a baseball button-front at an actual game, wear a hoodie through a few cool evenings, or wait until a gift has been opened and tried on. You do not need to explain why you are returning something, though a quick note about fit helps us guide the next order.

2. What can come back

Every product in our catalogue can be returned within the window: custom name-and-number jerseys, throwback hockey jerseys, retro basketball tanks and jerseys, retro football jerseys, vintage-style baseball jerseys, ringer tees, long sleeve tees, hoodies, six-panel caps and crew socks.

Condition we ask for

  • Unwashed, or at least washed and worn so lightly it still looks new.
  • No stains, pet hair, perfume or smoke smell.
  • Free of alterations such as hemming or cut-off sleeves.
  • Socks returned as a full pair.

Trying a jersey on at home, over a T-shirt, is absolutely fine. That is the point of the window.

Personalised pieces

Most Jersa jerseys carry a name and number you typed yourself. Personalised items follow the same 60-day policy as everything else. Because we print exactly what you type and no proof is sent, a spelling or number entered incorrectly at checkout is something we will sort out case by case: email us and we will help you find the best option. If the print on your piece does not match what you entered, that is our mistake and is covered in section 6.

3. Starting a return, step by step

  1. Email us. Write to support@jersa.shop, or use our Submit a Ticket page. Include your order number, the item or items you want to send back, and whether you want a refund or an exchange.
  2. Get your label. We reply within 24 hours on business days with a free prepaid return label and the return address. Please wait for our label: the Byron Center business address on our site is not a returns drop-off.
  3. Pack it. Fold the item, put it in a bag or the original mailer, and add a slip of paper with your order number. Several items from the same order can go in one package.
  4. Send it. Attach the label and drop the parcel with the carrier named on it. Keep the receipt or tracking number.
  5. We check it. When the parcel arrives we look it over and confirm by email.
  6. We close it out. A refund is issued within 7 days of receiving the return, or your exchange piece is sent.

Please send the item back reasonably soon after receiving the label so the return can be matched to your request. If something gets in the way, just tell us.

4. Who pays for the return trip

We do. Whether the jersey is too big, the colourway is not you, or we made an error, the return label is free. That includes returns from Canada, Australia and New Zealand: we email the label for your country where the carrier offers one. If a prepaid label is not available for your address, contact us and we will arrange another way to cover it.

5. Exchanges for size or style

Exchanges are the most common request we get, and nearly always about size. A hockey jersey tends to be cut wide to go over pads, so plenty of people find they prefer one size down for everyday wear. Basketball tanks are often worn loose; baseball button-fronts behave more like a shirt. Our Size Guide explains how to compare against a shirt you already own.

How an exchange works

  • Tell us the new size (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL or 4XL) or the other style you want.
  • For personalised jerseys, confirm the name and number for the new piece. It is printed fresh, so it goes through the normal 1-3 business day processing time.
  • We send the replacement with free shipping. Transit is 7-14 business days, as described on the Shipping & Delivery page.

If the item you want costs more, such as moving to the Goalie Cut hockey jersey, which is $30 more, we will explain how the difference is handled. If it costs less, the difference is refunded. Price differences in either direction are confirmed by email before anything is printed.

Swapping a cap or socks

Caps are one size with an adjustable back, and socks are one size for most adults, so exchanges for these are usually about colourway rather than fit. The process is the same.

6. When we got it wrong

Sometimes the mistake is ours: a number printed as 18 instead of 81, a size M in a bag labelled L, a print that cracked or peeled, a seam that came open in the first wear, or a parcel that arrived torn with a damaged item inside. In those cases:

  1. Email us within the 60-day window with your order number.
  2. Attach two or three photos: the whole item, a close-up of the problem, and the size label. For a wrong name or number, a photo of the back is enough.
  3. We reply with a free label and your choice of a replacement or a refund.

For some faults, a clear photo is all we need and we may not ask you to send the piece back at all. We will tell you either way.

7. After your return arrives

We open each return, check it against your request and email you once it has been processed. A few situations can slow things slightly:

  • No order number inside. We match by name and tracking, which can take longer.
  • An item missing from the package. We process what arrived and email you about the rest.
  • Heavy wear, washing damage or stains. We contact you before deciding anything.

Refunds go out within 7 days of receiving the return. How the money reaches you, and how long your bank may take afterwards, is explained on our Refund Policy page.

8. Gifts

If you received a Jersa piece as a gift, you can still exchange it within 60 days of delivery. Email us with the order number if you have it, or the name of the person who ordered. Tell us the size you need and we will confirm the name and number before printing the replacement, so the new piece carries the same personalisation as the one you unwrapped. If the giver’s order number is not to hand, the name on the shipping label and the approximate delivery date are usually enough for us to find it. Exchanges are the simplest route for gifts. A refund goes back to the original payer’s payment method, so if you would rather the giver not know, an exchange keeps things quiet.

9. Orders that have not shipped

If your order is still being processed, you do not need a return at all. Within 24 hours of placing it you can cancel it or change the size, name, number or address. See the Cancel or Change an Order page for how.

10. Returns for team and group orders

Group orders are common at Jersa: a set of matching baseball jerseys for a beer-league softball side, hockey jerseys for a pond-hockey weekend, or basketball tanks for a family reunion three-on-three. Each piece in a group order is treated individually for returns.

  • You can return or exchange just the pieces that do not fit and keep the rest.
  • If several players need a different size, list each one in a single email: the name and number on the back, the size received and the size wanted. That lets us handle the whole batch together.
  • Pack all the returning pieces in one parcel where you can, with one note listing the names on them.
  • Replacements are printed with the same names and numbers unless you tell us otherwise.

The 60-day window counts from the date the group order was delivered, so the organiser does not need to rush everyone into trying their jersey on the first evening.

11. Caring for an item while you decide

If you are not yet sure whether to keep something, a few habits keep it returnable. Try it on over a plain T-shirt rather than straight after a workout. Keep it away from pets and kitchen smells. Hold off on washing until you have decided. If you do wash it, turn it inside out so the printed name and number are protected, and skip the dryer on high heat. Keep the packing slip somewhere handy; it has your order number on it, which is the fastest way for us to find your order when you write.

If you discover a print or seam problem only after a careful first wash, that still counts as a fault. Email us with photos and we will look at it within the 60-day window.

12. Things to avoid

  • Sending a parcel to our business address without a label from us.
  • Mailing items back without telling us first; we cannot match an unannounced parcel quickly.
  • Opening a payment dispute while a return is in progress. It tends to slow things for everyone; email us and we will sort it.

13. Help with a return

Support is by email only, and we answer within 24 hours on business days. Email support@jersa.shop or visit the Help Center and FAQs for quick answers. You can follow your original order on Order Tracking.
