Before a throwback jersey with your name across the shoulders can head to the printer, the order needs paying for. This page explains how payment works at Jersa in practical terms: where you see your options, what you are charged, when, how your details are protected, and what to do if a payment does not go through. It does not list specific card brands or wallets, because the options shown to you at checkout are the ones that actually apply to your order.
1. Where to find the payment options
The payment options available are shown at checkout, on the final step after you have entered your shipping address. What appears there is the current, accurate list for your order. If you are wondering whether a particular method is offered, the checkout page is the place to check; you can go all the way to that step without paying, and leave if the option you want is not there.
If you cannot see any option that works for you, email support@jersa.shop before giving up. Tell us where you are ordering from and what you were hoping to use, and we will tell you what we can.
Why we do not list logos here
Payment options can depend on your country, the provider’s own rules and what has been set up for the store at the time you shop. Rather than show a list of logos that might not match what you see, we keep this page general and let checkout show the real picture.
2. Prices and currency
All prices on jersa.shop are shown in US dollars (USD), for every destination: the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. If your account or card is in another currency, your bank or payment provider converts the amount, and its exchange rate and any conversion fee are set by them, not by us. That is why the figure on your statement can differ slightly from the checkout total when you pay in Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars.
What the price includes
| Part of the order | How it is charged |
|---|---|
| The jersey, tee, hoodie, cap or socks | The price shown on the product page |
| Name and number on the back | Included in the price, no add-on |
| Optional front word, on styles that have it | Included in the price, no add-on |
| Goalie Cut on the hockey style that offers it | $30 more than the standard cut, shown before you add to cart |
| Shipping to US, CA, AU or NZ | Free, no minimum |
| Sales tax | Not added at checkout |
The total you see on the final checkout screen is the amount the store charges for the order.
3. When your payment is taken
Payment is taken when you place the order. Your order then moves to processing, and printing of your personalisation starts within the 1-3 business day processing period. Some payment providers first show a pending authorisation and then the final charge; both refer to the same single payment.
Because the charge is taken at checkout, cancelling within 24 hours leads to a refund rather than simply “not being charged”. Those refunds are issued within 7 days of the cancellation being confirmed; see Cancel or Change an Order.
Orders with a later price change
If you change an order within the 24-hour window and the new total is higher, for example by switching to the Goalie Cut, we email you the difference and how to pay it before anything is printed. If it is lower, we refund the difference.
4. How your payment details are protected
The whole of jersa.shop is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, which you can confirm by the padlock in your browser’s address bar. At checkout, payment details are entered with, or passed to, the payment provider that processes the transaction. We do not store full card numbers or security codes on our website.
What we do keep is the order record: what you bought, the personalisation, the amount, the date, and your billing and shipping details, so we can fulfil the order, help with returns and meet record-keeping duties. How we handle that information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Good habits on your side
- Type jersa.shop directly or use a bookmark, rather than following links in unexpected emails.
- Check that the address bar shows jersa.shop and a padlock before entering any details.
- We will never ask for your full card number, security code or passwords by email. If someone does, it is not us.
- Use a device and network you trust when paying.
5. If a payment does not go through
A declined or failed payment is usually something small. Common reasons include:
- A typo in the card number, expiry date or security code.
- A billing address or postal code that does not match what your bank has on file. Canadian postal codes and Australian postcodes are worth a second look.
- Your bank blocking an international or online purchase until you approve it.
- A daily spending limit or insufficient available balance.
- A verification step from your bank that was closed or timed out.
Try again after checking the details, or try another available option. If it still fails, contact your bank or payment provider; they can see the reason, while we usually only see that the attempt did not complete. If you think a charge went through but no order confirmation arrived, email us before trying again so you do not pay twice.
Charged twice?
Occasionally a pending authorisation from a failed attempt sits alongside the successful charge. Pending amounts normally disappear on their own. If you have two completed charges for one order, email us with the order number and we will sort it out.
6. Order checks
To protect you and the store, some orders may be reviewed before production, for example when the billing and shipping details look very different or a payment provider flags the transaction. If we need anything, we email you from support@jersa.shop. If we cannot complete a check, we cancel the order and refund the full amount within 7 days.
7. Taxes and import charges
Sales tax is not added at checkout. For deliveries to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, whether import duties or taxes apply depends on the destination country and its rules. Any such charges are not collected by Jersa at checkout. If you are asked to pay something on delivery and want order details for it, contact us and we will help. More on this is on our Shipping & Delivery page.
8. Discount codes and store credit
If you have a valid discount code, enter it in the coupon field at checkout before you pay; the total updates before you confirm. Only one code per order applies unless the code says otherwise. Codes cannot be added after an order is placed.
Store credit is issued instead of a refund when you ask for it on a return. It never expires, and it is applied to a future order through the method we explain when we issue it. Store credit has no cash value outside jersa.shop.
9. Refunds to your payment method
Refunds go back to the payment method you used for the order. They are issued within 7 days of the return reaching us, the cancellation being confirmed, or a photo claim being approved. After that, your bank or provider takes its own time to show the money. For the full rules, see our Refund Policy and our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
10. Paying for a group or team order
For team or family orders, one person usually pays for the whole set of jerseys in a single checkout. Refunds for any piece in that order go back to the same payment method, even if a different player sends their jersey back. If several people want to pay for their own jerseys, the simplest approach is for each to place a separate order; shipping is free on every order, so splitting costs nothing extra. Each order then has its own confirmation, its own payment record and its own refund path.
11. Paying for a gift
When a Jersa jersey is a present, you pay as normal and enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address. The billing details stay with you. Our packing slip lists what is in the parcel; if you would like us to leave anything off it for a surprise, mention it in the order notes or email us within 24 hours of ordering and we will tell you what we can do. Remember that any refund for a gift goes back to the payer, which is why many recipients prefer an exchange for a different size instead.
12. Paying from outside the United States
Customers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand pay in US dollars like everyone else. A few practical points help the payment go smoothly. Enter your billing address exactly as your bank has it, including the province, state or region. Some banks treat a purchase from a US store as international and may send you a text or app notification to approve it; approve it promptly so checkout does not time out. If your bank adds a foreign transaction fee, that fee comes from your bank, and a card or account without such fees can make the total easier to predict.
13. Keeping your records
After you pay, you receive an order confirmation email listing each item, the name and number you entered, the size, and the total. Keep that email; it is your receipt and the quickest way for us to find your order. If you created an account at checkout, you can also see past orders and their amounts by signing in. If you need a copy of a receipt later, for example to split a team order with friends or to claim a purchase on an expense report, email us with the order number and we will resend the details.
Statement descriptor
The name that appears on your bank or card statement is set by the payment provider and may be a shortened form of our store name. If you see a charge you do not recognise around the date you ordered, compare the amount with your confirmation email before contacting your bank, then write to us if anything still looks wrong.
14. Questions about payment
Email support@jersa.shop or use the Submit a Ticket page. We answer within 24 hours on business days. Please never send full card numbers or security codes by email. More answers are in the FAQs and Help Center, and you can check an order’s status on Order Tracking.
