Your privacy in brief

  • Who we are: Jersa, 7508 Crooked Creek Dr SW, Byron Center, MI 49315, US, the store at jersa.shop.
  • What we collect: what you give us to place and deliver an order, including the name and number you want printed, plus the technical data a store website needs to work.
  • What we do not do: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
  • Photos you email us: deleted 30 days after your order is delivered.
  • Your choices: ask to see, correct or delete your data at support@jersa.shop.

A Jersa order is personal by nature. The name across the back of a jersey might be your own, your father’s, or your daughter’s first-season nickname. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit jersa.shop and buy from us, why we need it, who else touches it, how long we keep it and what control you have. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, email us.

1. What we collect

1.1 Information you give us

  • Order details: your name, email address, billing address and shipping address, and optionally a phone number if the checkout form asks for one for delivery purposes.
  • Personalisation text: the name on the back (up to 12 characters), the number (0 to 99) and, on styles that offer it, the front word (up to 10 characters). This text may be someone else’s name if you are buying a gift.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your email address, a password (stored in scrambled form, never readable by us) and your order history.
  • Messages: anything you write to support@jersa.shop or through our Submit a Ticket page, including attachments.
  • Photos: if you email photos, for example of a faulty print or a wrong size label, we keep them only as long as described in section 5.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Like any website, jersa.shop receives some technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the time of the request. This comes from server logs and from security tools that keep the site running. WordPress and WooCommerce, the software that powers the store, also set a small number of cookies so that your cart, checkout and account work (see section 4).

1.3 Information from others

The payment provider that processes your order tells us whether a payment succeeded and may share limited details such as the last digits of a card, the payment type and fraud-check results. Delivery carriers may share tracking and delivery status. We do not buy data about you from data brokers.

2. Why we use it

We send you emails about your order: confirmation, shipping, return and refund updates. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list without your clear consent, and if we ever offer one, every message will include a way to unsubscribe.

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you (fulfilling your order), our legitimate interests (running a secure store and answering questions), legal obligations (keeping records), and your consent where we ask for it.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services needed to run the store and deliver your order:

  • Hosting server: the website and its database run on a server operated by our hosting provider. Order records and account data are stored there.
  • Cloudflare: traffic to jersa.shop passes through Cloudflare, which provides the secure HTTPS connection, caching and protection against attacks. As part of that, it processes technical data such as IP addresses and may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
  • Payment provider: whichever provider processes your payment at checkout receives the details it needs to do so and handles them under its own privacy terms.
  • Production and delivery: the people and services that print and pack your piece receive the personalisation and product details; carriers receive your name, shipping address and sometimes your email or phone for delivery notices.
  • Email: our email service carries messages between you and support@jersa.shop.
  • Authorities: if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and customers against fraud.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If the business were ever sold or merged, customer records could transfer to the new owner under the same protections described here.

4. Cookies

We keep cookies to what the store needs to function. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels or social media trackers on jersa.shop.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, the cart and checkout will not work.

5. How long we keep it

  • Order records (what you bought, personalisation, amounts, addresses): kept as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes, and to help you with returns within the 60-day window and any later questions.
  • Photos you email us: deleted 30 days after your order is delivered. If a claim is still open at that point, we keep them only until it is resolved.
  • Support emails: kept while they are useful for your order and then removed in routine clean-ups.
  • Accounts: kept until you ask us to close the account.
  • Server and security logs: kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then overwritten.
  • Store credit: never expires, so the record needed to honour it is kept until it is used or you ask us to remove it.

6. How we protect it

The whole site runs over HTTPS. Access to the store’s administration area is restricted. Passwords are stored in hashed form. We do not store full card numbers or security codes on our website. Software is kept updated. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affecting your information ever happened, we would tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Please help by using a strong, unique password for your Jersa account, and remember that we will never ask for your password or full card details by email.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as those in US states, Canada (PIPEDA), Australia (the Privacy Act 1988) and New Zealand (the Privacy Act 2020) give you rights over your information. Whatever your location, we offer the following to every customer:

  1. Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  2. Correction: ask us to fix anything inaccurate, such as a misspelled name in your account.
  3. Deletion: ask us to delete your information, except records we must keep by law, such as order and payment records.
  4. Objection or limits: ask us to stop a particular use.
  5. Marketing: withdraw consent at any time if you ever joined a mailing list.
  6. Complaints: contact us first; you can also contact your local privacy regulator.

Email support@jersa.shop from the address linked to your order. We may ask you to confirm details to make sure the request comes from you. We reply within 24 hours on business days and complete requests within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

8. Personalisation that names other people

Gift jerseys often carry someone else’s name, and team orders can include a whole roster. When you type another person’s name into the personalisation fields, we use it only to print and ship the order and handle support. Please only enter names you have a reason to use, such as family, friends or teammates who know about the order. We do not print real team, league or player names, so that text should never be needed.

9. Children

jersa.shop is meant for adults. Plenty of our jerseys are bought for children, but the purchase should be made by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Customers outside the United States

Jersa is based in the United States and our website is hosted on a server operated by our hosting provider, so information from customers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand is processed in the United States and possibly in other countries where our service providers operate, including Cloudflare’s network. We take steps so that your information stays protected as described in this policy wherever it is processed.

11. Links to other sites

If you follow a link from our site or an email to a carrier’s tracking page or a payment provider’s page, that site is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes affecting existing customers, we will also let you know by email where appropriate. Our Terms of Service cover the wider rules of using the store.

13. Contact us

For any privacy question or request, email support@jersa.shop. Support is by email only and we reply within 24 hours on business days.
